The information you will now provide will be disclosed to our Finance Providers/s, Dealflo Limited and other trusted Third Party providers for the purposes of processing, considering and storing this credit application. If the application is successful you and our Finance Provider will enter into a credit agreement setting out the hire purchase terms and other matters, including the further use of your personal data (the “Agreement”).
The chosen provider and/or Dealflo Limited will search your record at Experian Limited and/or CallCredit Limited and they will keep details of our search. If you are a business, the Finance Provider will search the personal record of you, your partners and/or your directors and company secretary in addition to the record of your business at such credit reference agencies and they will keep details of our search. Information held about you (and where you are a business, your partners and/or directors and company secretary) by these agencies may already be linked to records relating to other people with whom you have a financial association. In connection with your application you may be treated as financially linked with them and assessed with reference to any such associated records. This information will be available to other businesses and organisations that make similar searches. The Finance Provider may also use information obtained from your performance of the Agreement and any other agreement you have with them, any or all of their subsidiary or associated companies and parent company. They may also use a credit scoring system, which may include automated decision making. If you wish to have an automated decision reviewed by someone or if you disagree with the outcome you can contact the Dealer Services Centre for the provider.
Where applicable, if an application is accepted, any guarantor will be sent a copy of the Agreement and if in the future the Finance Provider may send you a notice under the Consumer Credit Act (for example, if you are behind on your payments) then a copy of that notice will also be sent to the guarantor.
It is important that you give accurate information. If false or inaccurate information is provided and fraud is identified, details will be passed to fraud prevention agencies to prevent fraud and money laundering. In order to prevent or detect fraud, the information provided in this application will be checked with and recorded by a fraud prevention agency.
The dealer may forward your credit application to other lenders. If your application is passed to more than one lender, then more than one search will be recorded. This could affect the ability of you or members of your household to obtain finance.
The dealership should also tell you of the purposes for which they will use this information.
Further details explaining in full how the information held by fraud prevention agencies may be used can be obtained from the Terms and Conditions, Data Protection section of the Agreement; these can be made available to you by the dealer with whom you are submitting your credit application.
The Finance Provider may transfer your personal data to group companies and service providers located outside of the European Economic Area. All such transfers will be made in accordance with applicable laws and, where necessary, subject to appropriate safeguards.
